Links - Georgia O-Gauge Clubs

North GA Tinplate Trackers - This a an Atlanta based O-Gauge modular group. Each member is required to build at least one module for use with the group. The group focuses on train displays at non-profit events such as the Festival of Lights Christmas event in Atlanta. The group is also seen at church events and some train shows.

Model Railroad Club of Atlanta (no web site) - This very old O-Gauge club has a large detailed 2-rail scale layout in a building on Edgewood Ave. The public is invited to visit the first Saturday of each month from 10-2, when they run the trains on set schedules. Terminus Chapter of the Train Collectors Association - This is the local chapter of the national organization. Terminus sponsors four (4) train meets a year. The focus of the group is O-Gauge 3-rail toy trains.

Piedmont Division of the  NMRA - If you are thinking of going Hi-Rail with your 3-rail pike, visit the Piedmont Division. The focus is mostly on HO and N scale modeling, but there is a small group of O-Gaugers as well.

National O-Gauge Associations

Train Collectors Association (TCA)  - An international group with a focus on collecting O-Gauge toy trains (Tinplate Toy Trains). TCA's mission is: "To develop an appreciation of and to preserve an important segment of history - Tinplate Toy Trains - through research, education, community outreach, fellowship, establishment of collecting standards, and to promote the growth and enjoyment of collecting and operating toy, model and scale trains.". TCA co-sponsors the York Pennsylvania shows every April and October.

Lionel Collectors Club of America LCCA - An international group focused on the collection of Lionel toy trains and anything directly related to them. The mission of LCCA is: "To promote and foster research of toy trains (with the emphasis being Lionel electric trains) and to generally promote and foster the continued education of people in the field of toy train operating and collecting."

Toy Train Operating Society TTOS - The mission of TTOS is: "To further the toy train hobby and to promote fellowship among our members." They describe themselves as "members frequently run their trains on layouts at malls, in hospitals and at other locations. Other members have layouts in their homes that they share with friends, school children and others who are interested."

Lionel Operating Train Society LOTS  - LOTS "is dedicated to having the most fun possible operating and collecting those wonderful trains from yesteryear and today — Lionel!"  The mission of LOTS is "To promote the enjoyment of operating Lionel and Lionel compatible toy trains and accessories."

National Model Railroad Association NMRA - NMRA creates standards, has contests, holds regional and national conventions and more. Focus is on the smaller gauges, but there is some O-Gauge present. If you are into scenicking and other modeling for your pike, check this group out. Their national headquarters are nearby in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

HiRailers Unlimted - This is a group of people interested specifically in modeling their 3-rail O-Gauge railroads as realistic as possible. The site has some great pictures of nationally recognized layouts and other information related to hi-railing in 3-rail O-Gauge.
